You are the main player in this challenging secret mission. If you succeed, you get expanding wilds, re-spins and free spins. Doesn’t Mission Cash look very similar to Mission Impossible? We are not talking about the visuals only, but also about the irresistible tune. You may think you recognize it, but it is slightly different.

Play’n GO’s Mission Cash video slot takes you on a highly confidential, dangerous and potentially extremely lucrative mission

Talking about our main character, doesn’t he look more like Matt Damon rather than Tom Cruise? We are convinced that Play’n GO had its reasons. Maybe it has to do with their mission to avoid expensive court cases?

So all in all, similar but slightly different!

The mission takes place in London. We are glad to see that the British capital is once again an old-fashioned location for an exciting spy adventure. Better than the same endless and hopeless Brexit discussions we have seen too many times over the past few years.

Gameplay and features of the Mission Cash slot

Mission Cash has 5 reels with 3 rows of symbols. There are 20 fixed paylines.

The minimum bet is $€0.20 per spin, and the maximum bet is $€100 per spin.

What are the theoretical RTP, the variance and the maximum win of the Mission Cash slot?

The RTP (payout rate) is an excellent 96.65%, a better payout percentage than the average online slot. A little warning is in place, though. By default, this percentage is 96.65%, but some casinos apply a lower payout rate, sometimes as low as 94%. We always recommend you to check the game rules.

The maximum win is 5,000 x the total bet. We feel that the variance is medium to high.

The potential to win high prizes (1,000x the bet or more) is certainly there, although, for the real substantial wins, you should consider real high variance slots such as Jammin’ Jars, Dead or Alive, Dead or Alive 2 or Reactoonz.

Symbols and payouts – lookout for the spies

Now back to the symbols and payouts.

There are two protagonists in this slot: the blue coloured male master spy and his stunning female colleague (in a beautiful red jumpsuit). They are the main characters in the base game.

For every spin, a (green coloured) visor appears on the screen. If it stops on one of the two main players, the entire reel expands into a wild symbol. On top of that, you also get a re-spin, so you have double chances to win a prize. During the re-spin, the expanded wild is sticky (remains).

It doesn’t stop there. If you manage to get another expanded wild (the green visor stops again at the blue master spy or the red master spy), you get even more expanded wilds and re-spins.

In terms of expanding wilds mechanism, it resembles Netent’s Hotline slot.

5 wilds on an active line are worth 50 times the total bet. As there are 20 paylines, your maximum win per spin is 1,000x the bet.

The two other premium symbols are the purple femme fatale and the green nerd with glasses. The four premium symbols are worth between 12.5 x and 50 x the total bet if you manage to spin 5 of them on a payline.

The low symbols are the card symbols hearts, spades, diamonds and clubs. If you spin 5 of them on a payline, you get paid out between 1 x and 2.5 x the total bet.

Free Spins Bonus

If the visor ends on the golden gun, then you have won the free spins bonus.

You now win 8 free spins. Here it is also possible to get re-spins.

Now, all four premium symbols give you an expanded wild and a re-spin if your bullets hit them (in the base game, this applies only for the blue and the red spies).

The chance of expanded wilds is much higher in the Free Spins Bonus feature. Chances of getting a lucrative win of, say, 50x the bet or more are there.

Don’t be surprised, though, if the wins are smaller than that. It is inherent for a volatile slot as Mission Cash.  Also, patience is required. It could well be that you need several hundreds of spins to get the Free Spins Bonus.

Our verdict on the Mission Cash video slot

Mission Cash is a successful release by Play’n GO.

The spy theme is worked out well, the graphics are professional, and there are several entertaining features, such as the expanding wilds and the re-spins.

Unfortunately, the crosshair that changes position every spin will get on your nerves at some time.

In terms of originality, Mission Cash deserves a pat on the shoulder.

3.5 out of 5 stars
